A Feminine Presence

Well, I've been here about a week and I think I've got a feel for the routine and my responsibilities. The day starts at 7:30am with the typical hefty breakfast and morning housekeeping. Then I go for a run if the nurse isn't coming. I usually tackle some project of cleaning/ cooking/ or art making before lunch around 1:30pm, and do another project of one sort or another between lunch and dinner around 7:30pm. After our meal I give a 1-2 hour piano performance as a start to the evening's entertainment and we finish it off with a movie. This is the life :)

While that seems to be the norm, visitors and new experiences break up the routine fairly often. This week I introduced Grandpa to quesadillas! He hadn't had one before at least that he could remember and I was happy to introduce him to such a culinary gem. I also chased a cow that was considering escape back into the pasture behind the house. On Monday we had a visit from the hospice Chaplin who happens to be LDS. He is an extremely friendly and conversational elderly gentlemen. He mentioned it must be nice for grandpa to have a 'feminine presence' in the house to which Grandpa responded, "and feminine cooking!" I's good to be a girl.
